Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2A (MEN2A) is an inherited syndrome caused by the mutation of RET gene. The classic variant of this syndrome includes the presence of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), in association with pheochromocytoma and parathyroid neoplasia.
